A new friend from a very good friend. It's almost as big as Sarah is!
Cookie Monster helps hold her tubes.
Such a good life...
Sucking on her fingers.
We aren't taking many pictures lately because Sarah is very sensitive to light, sounds and touch. That's why we haven't been updating as quickly as we usually do. When we visit we are basically sitting quietly. She is doing very well though! Her breathing is consistent and she's getting better at taking deep breaths. Her sats (oxygen level) are staying high most of the time and her de-sats are getting fewer and she's recovering from them quicker. She is getting fed by gravity and they are raising her feeds slowly, but she's tolerating everything they are giving her.
She is on the Nasal CPAP, and though she still doesn't really like it, she's getting better with it. She does cry out loud now (with the ventilator I could not hear her). It's amazing to hear her voice.
We are truly blessed. Sarah is growing, breathing and getting better. It is all going a little slower than we'd like, but she is getting better.
Thank you all again for your continued
prayers. We still need them!
